Deepika is not quite happy with Ranbir these days. After she was successful in keeping her boyfriend away from his debut film’s beauty, Sonam Kapoor, the possesive Deepika has another girl to bother. And this time it’s Ranbir’s ex-girlfriend Avantika Malik. Ranbir Kapoor and model Avantika Malik were said to be dating before Ranbir made it to films. However, things didn’t turnout well and they broke up. But even now, when Avantika is dating Aamir’s nephew Imraan, she and Ranbir are still in contact. This isn’t quite approved by Deepika, and made her upset.
Now, will Deepika’s possessive nature hold on Ranbir for long??
Bips Out of Unforgettable:

Bipasha who is emerging as the new most replaced actress of the bollywood, has now opted out of Bachchan’s much talked about tour, “The Unforgettable”. Reports say that the actress had signed an agreement agreeing to work with the Bachchans before her latest flick till date, Race. But then, as the movie blasted the records at the box office, the lady immediately demanded for a hike in her fee. The Wizcraft said this was highly unprofessional, and was not expected out of her. She thus has been dropped out of the list of the actors accompanying Bachchans on their world tour.
Come on girl, to stay in industry, you gotta be highly professional!!!

Kajol’s dad had a heart attack, which had made her really concerned for Ajay, especially with him not even trying to give up smoking.
Is health minister, Mr. Ramadoss listening??

“Shah Rukh is too old for the role in Kismat Konnection . The role is about the life of a 26-year-old and Shah Rukh is 40 plus. It doesn’t suit him,” said Aziz Mirza.

From Adelaide, 'Love Story 2050' to Mumbai:

As India-Australia film links foster, Bollywood's first commercial futuristic science-fiction feature film "Love Story 2050", showcasing South Australia's capital, Adelaide, is set to premier in the City of Churches July 4.

This Bollywood romance crossing time and space, switches between present-day Adelaide and futuristic Mumbai. It is the debut vehicle of Harman Baweja and also stars former Miss World Priyanka Chopra.

South Australia's Premier Mike Rann, who had a cameo role in the movie, says the filming of "Love Story 2050" on his home turf was a dream come true.

"We think it is good for the film industry. It's great to have people spending money here for 55 days, using South Australia as a location, but it is also giving us worldwide publicity that money can't buy", Premier Rann said.

Indian films shot in Australia have had spin offs in other industries like tourism, education and the local economy and employment.

For the year ending June 2007, South Australia attracted 3,300 Indian visitors and India is the state's second-highest source of overseas students with 2,692 students enrolled across all levels from primary to university.

Producer-director Harry Baweja, who chose Adelaide over other locations in Italy and scotland, said South Australia proved to be the "perfect choice". The stars and crew spent five weeks shooting scenes across the state.

Besides the state capital Adelaide, the film showcases some of Australia's most famous tourist destinations and diverse landscapes - the Kangaroo Island, the Flinders Ranges and Lake Eyre and the technological expertise and facilities available in South Australia.

"This production is just the latest in a series of mutually beneficial marketing tie ups we have been able to structure between Bollywood and the Australian State Governments. Other successes include 'Heyy Babyy' and more recently, the cricketing film starring Brett Lee, 'Victory'," said Anupam Sharma managing director of Sydney-based Films and Casting TEMPLE.

Sharma was the Australian Line producer for "Love Story 2050"

Aadesh ties up with Motorola to promote song:

Composer Aadesh Shrivastava has tied up with Motorola to promote his first international track "Bollywood Meets Hollywood" that he recorded with American rapper Wyclef Jean and Abhishek Bachchan.

The Motorola campaign will feature the trio.

"The track is a part of my album with Wyclef entitled 'Carnival 2'. As you know Wyclef and I flew down to Miami to record the number with Abhishek, who was shooting there for Karan Johar's film," Aadesh told IANS.

To be released under the Sony-BMG label, "Bollywood Meets Hollywood" is set to hit the Indian stores some time in July.

" 'Bollywood Meets Hollywood' is already a craze abroad. The Youtube website is filled with the song. We've big plans for the song in India. I hope, it would be like a singing launch for Abhishek."

The composer churned out chartbusters like "Say shava shava" in "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" and "Chali chali phir chali chali" in "Baghban".

Aadesh now plans to tie up with other international artistes like Justin Timberlake.

"I missed the chance recently because I was busy judging a reality show
in India. Never mind. Justin's company is very keen to tie up with us."

Aamir Khan patching up with Big B?

Looks like actor Aamir Khan is all set to change his past tumultous relationship with the Big B.

Right from being media savy to apologising to fellow stars, actor Aamir Khan is doing it all.

Now the actor has decided to bury the hatchet and is going all out to significantly, improve his relations with none other than Amitabh Bachchan himself. Apparently, Aamir has invited the Big B to watch his nephew Imraan’s soon-to-be released film ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’.

Reportedly, Aamir has also congratulated the Big B for ‘Sarkar Raj’. This definitely seems to portray a quite a different image of the actor from what has been witnessed in the recent past.

Is Sajid Khan in love with Vidya Balan?

Much is being said about Shahid-Vidya’s love connection but the duo compulsively deny the rumours, conforming to their single status. But our ever vigilant gossip-sources have found a new angle to the love story, which is turning out to be a love triangle, due to comic actor Sajid Khan’s avid interest in the sultry beauty.

Sajid Khan has always been all praises for Vidya Balan, the lead actress of his debut film, ‘Heyy Babyy’. And the latest rumour has it that he has also signed her for his upcoming venture. During the shoot of ‘Heyy Babyy’, Sajid complemented his love interest, “Vidya is our hero. She is a buddy and one of us.”

Sajid Khan, known for his tongue-in-cheek humour and flamboyant parodies of super stars on TV show, has always supported Vidya. His ‘Heyy Babyy’ also turned out to be a runaway hit, making Vidya his lucky mascot..

Sajid Khan’s enthusiastic endorsement of Vidya has set the rumour mills rolling. Meanwhile, Shahid, being once bitten twice shy, is keeping all his cards close to his heart.

The connection between Shahid and Vidya, was said to be one of the causes for Shahid-Bebo break-up. The split occurred soon after the duo left for Canada to shoot for ‘Kismat Konnection’. But Shahid and Vidya are being discreet about what’s cooking between them.

Although Shahid shower praises on Vidya, but he always seems on guard. “Vidya is a talented and hardworking costar,” he said in a recent interview.

Well, with the additional ‘Sajid’ angle to their connection – here is a bit of advice for the lover boy of Bollywood – do not delay your ‘Kismat Konnection’ with your love interest, for there are chances of cross connection!

Aishwarya Rai hits Abhishek’s critic on her blog:

It seems the blogging bug is catching on in Bollywood - after the Big B, it’s Bachchan bahu Aishwarya who’s taken to cyber space to answer Abhishek’s critics.

The only difference is, while Pa-in-law has his own blog and his take on things, Ash has only blogged in retaliation to a comment that apparently touched a nerve with her.

The comment was posted on ‘Sarkar Raj’ director Ram Gopal Verma’s blog site, and questions the character of Abhishek falling in love with someone from America who he has known only for a day.

To this, a cheeky RGV had replied saying “perhaps he has a weakness for worldly beauties.”

This was a harmless comment but one that led the Bachchan bahu to retaliate - albeit with all the political correctness expected from one of the Bachchan family.

Aishwarya has replied as a blogger, explaining that it was a deep connect arising out of confiding in a person that leads to the bond being formed so quickly between her character and Abhishek’s in the movie and that “the director chose to underplay the experience”.

Shilpa Shetty hit by misfortunes:

Actress Shilpa Shetty has been going through a rough phase lately.

It was a shock to see a frail looking Shilpa in a wheelchair at the airport when she arrived back home from her recent visit to Dubai. Behind this sorry state of Shilpa were a series of unfortunate events.

Things began going wrong for the actress after she shot a song for Sunny Deol’s The Man in which she was repeatedly drenched in artificial rain. While the song was shot completely, Shilpa ended up with fever and chest congestion.

To make matters worse, Shilpa was bitten by a dog of her friend whom she was visiting in Tirupati. Poor Shilpa, who was already on antibiotics, now had to take extra medicine.

But the misfortunes were far from over.

Shilpa flew to Dubai to celebrate her birthday last Saturday but her luggage got lost in the transit. The same day, before a special party to usher her birthday, Shilpa fell ill again and the party had to be cancelled.

And all the medicine she took had its side effects and led to a burning sensation in her food pipe and stomach.

The actress eventually got so weak that when she came back from Dubai she had to be carried in a wheelchair to her car at the airport.

Shilpa is presently recuperating and is likely to recover soon.

After Paresh Rawal, Kay Kay falls for Mallika:

Kay Kay (Menon) and flirtatious? Find it hard to believe!

The actor who has been seen doing only serious characters on screen was seen indulging in some flirting on the sets of Venus Records and Tapes Pvt Ltd's Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam. And the object whom he was seen showering affection on was none other than hottie Mallika Sherawat.

RGV's project on Veerapan starts rolling:

His life story has enough of drama, action, and is filled with adventures, innumerable incidents of his famed survival instincts, high profile kidnappings and the aura of fear about himself that he was able to instill in the minds of the people is a fertile ground for a film maker to get inspired.

Even when the notorious person was alive, Ram Gopal Varma's wish to make a film on his life has been know.

When Ram Gopal Varma's film 'Jungle' was released a couple of years ago, everyone thought that it is a film about Veerapan.

There started the saga of a film about Veerapan and still it has not become a reality.

After a long period of time, with the success of 'Sarkar Raj' Ram Gopal Varma has reinstated his position in Bollywood and now is the right time to think again about his long cherished wish of making the film on Veerapan.

I was going mad: Rani Mukerji

Mumbai : The going has been tough for Rani Mukerji. Getting her new house constructed proved to be the biggest challenge for the talented actress.

"It was like working simultaneously in Yash Chopra, Sanjay Bhansali and Karan Johar films. I was going mad," Rani, who is gearing up for her next release "Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic", told a friend.

She had set a deadline for the home to be completed. "It had to be done before her next film for Yash Raj Films started. And she had to meet the deadline somehow," the friend told IANS.

She starts shooting with Shahid Kapur for her new Yash Raj film from June 18.

To compound her construction woes, Rani recently fell on the steps of her new home and hurt herself.

The friend explained: "Her thumb was badly hurt. For weeks she had to undergo physiotherapy. But before it could heal completely, she plunged into cricket practice for her new film with Yash Raj where she plays a cricketer.

"So the thumb hasn't had a chance to heal properly. She has been going through a series of misadventures and that's why she has been keeping out of the limelight. Earlier, Rani got her office ready a year and a half ago. Now her home is finally ready."

"In fact, Rani and her family moved into the dream house while the construction was on. So Rani has been living with the heat, dust and hurt thumb for months."

The house has been opened to close friends like Karan Johar and Bhansali. On Saturday, the workers and designers packed their gear and left and Rani finally heaved a sigh of relief.

Says a source close to Rani: "She's so relieved. It has been an ordeal for Rani because she couldn't do anything else until the house was ready. But now when she sees how happy the house has made her family, she feels all the effort has been worth it."

And then, after a pause added that he liked Katrina more. Salman was surprised with their reply and just blushed since they were after all talking about his girlfriend,” claims a source. Salman’s catch phrases like Chaap Do and Desh Ki Awaam have caught on with people and even his ponytail may just become a hair trend for all his ardent fans.

Genelia D’souza’s Kajol-ification!:

has always been a proven track of the B-town that following someone else’s footsteps would really give hype, if not height, to the career. Thus every new face entering the glitzy-blitzy zone tries on one or the other style of previous actors. Well, it’s a different issue that few among them walk on and on in the town and others take their doomed rest for the rest of their lives.

Genelia D’souza, the star in south yet a newcomer in Bollywood, has just said hello to Hindi audience through Priyan’s latest Mere Baap Pehle Aap. As a matter of fact, the information is well known to most of the movie-buffs. But the other side of the currency is still under gloom. The beautiful, yet lacking in dialogue delivery and proper Hindi-ism, Genelia has a secret dream of acting like our own Madhuri Dixit and Kajol. Albeit Mere Baap Pehle Aap shows Shovna as Genelia’s teacher but in real life Genelia assumes Kajol teaching her the nitty-gritty of posing on screen. Interestingly, both Kajol and Genelia share the same date of birth which is on 5th of August.

Genelia believes she would have a perfect boost in her career if she can even avail half the acting prowess from Kajol. But the questions remains, how would it be possible with all that poor dialogue delivery and rigid reactions! Well, we may only ask her to learn the proper dialogue delivery first, which can cut the problem down to half. And later on Madhuri and Kajol may not have to take much burden in teaching Genelia.

Is Kat trying an Akki fry?

It looks like hot babe Katrina Kaif has lost her cool on the unwanted rumours created by some part of the media and has decided to rebuff.

Recently it was reported that Akshay Kumar, while seated at the IIFA awards with his wife Twinkle, ignored Katrina’s calls.

It was also said that Twinkle and Katrina share cold vibes and looked through each other at Vipul Shah's party thrown for his wife Shefali last month.

Katrina, listening to all, fumes, “People need to stop imagining so much. This is pure imagination on someone's part. Akshay Kumar came in for the show in the night and left right after as he had a flight to catch. I had dinner with Twinkle and some of her friends after that and even my mom was with me. So what's with these stories?”

t’s thus proved that media was throwing imaginative bricks at the otherwise cool Kat. But it’s said that everything, said or drawn, has to have some base. Even imagination must have some stage to stand on. What should we think then? And if, throwing an if, the whole picture is baselessly imaginative then what’s the need of becoming so hot? Especially when people know Kat is really hot. Maybe the temperature is required to make some Akki dish! Who can say if something is cooking at the backdoor? Hun, you naughty hot Kat?

Shahrukh ignored Aamir's 'dog' Remarks:

Even as Bollywood actor Aamir Khan touched a new low, with his street-level provocation against Shahrukh Khan, SRK yet again refused to fall into the controversy and chose to ignore Aamir's malicious 'dog' remarks on his blog. Shah Rukh said, "Earlier people used to name their children after famous people. Somebody naming a dog after a known person is a new beginning in that direction. I don't have a copyright over this name if used non-commercially."

Aamir Khan has been under fire from millions of Bollywood fans for his unwanted remarks against Shahrukh Khan, who never tried to join issues with him. It is believed that Aamir has resorted to cheap publicity gimmick to promote his forthcoming film 'Ghazni'.

Sex And The City, brand orgy

I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a fan of the show, but I'll admit I've enjoyed reruns of Sex And The City every time I've caught one by accident. Of course what I think of the show doesn't matter here. The truth is, ladies everywhere have been waiting for this, and now it's finally here.

To be entirely honest, the Sex And The City movie doesn't actually feel like a cohesive feature at all. At two hours and twenty-five odd minutes, it feels more like a string of episodes slapped back-to-back, if you ask me. The girls are back for their big screen outing, but I'm disappointed to report, the fun's missing from this adventure.

Sarkar Raj is punishingly slow

Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar Raj is a gabfest. There's really no other way to describe this film — it's all talk and very little action. And excessive talk seldom makes for exciting viewing. Intended no doubt to be an intense political drama, Sarkar Raj is sadly not a patch on Varma's original film Sarkar, of which this one is nothing but a watered down sequel.

Aamir Khan talks about cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, Taare Zameen Par DVD & Ghajini

Aamir Khan tells us how it feels to be sitting next to Sachin Tendulkar, talks about Taare Zameen Par’s DVD, his son’s 15th birthday, and also about his next project, Ghajini.

Here’s the complete article in his own words:

Last night I watched the IPL final and what an exciting match it was. I don’t think we could have asked for a better finale to a most entertaining tournament. Rajasthan after beginning as the least likely to win at the start of the tournament went on to win the cup. My congratulations to the Rajasthan team and supporters. Chennai, hard luck but very well fought.

Mumbai Indians is the team I’m supporting for obvious reasons, and I was disappointed that we weren’t in the finals, but next time. In fact I think all teams gave it their best but there can only be one winner, and jo jeeta wohi sikander. My guess is that in a very short time we should have the best side on an international level, what with all the young talent being thrown up.

The match last night was certainly exciting but what made it a unique experience for me was that I had Sachin next to me. You will find this hard to believe but Sachin was able to predict every ball before it was bowled.

“He is going to bowl a bouncer next”, “This one is going to be a slower one”, “Full tilt outside the off stump”, “Next one will be a yorker”, “Short of length”. It was uncanny. HE GOT IT RIGHT EACH TIME!!! No wonder its so difficult to bowl to him. He has an amazing instinct. And he told me his logic for each prediction which I wont share with you as I don’t want to reveal how his mind works.

But all of us were dumbfounded with his instinct and his acumen. So at the end of it I told him next time we watch a film together I’m going to tell him whats going to happen next!

My apologies for disappearing for a bit. My friend Paul Blackthorn was visiting Bombay and I spent the week with him reliving Lagaan. In fact we had a bit of a reunion for him and it was really great to meet everyone.

And my apologies for the delay in the DVD release of Taare Zameen Par. The final work is almost over. Any day now. But I assure you I have tried my very best to make the wait worth it. Very soon I will tell y’all the exact release date, which is any day now.

I see that some of you have remembered my son Junaid’s birthday. Thanks so much for your wishes. We just returned from a dinner to celebrate it. He is 15 already! How time passes.

Incidentally, tomorrow I resume work on the action sequences of Ghajini. I think my hamstring has recovered, but I’ll get to know tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Love.
